Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Summer is just around the corner, and for us girls that means refreshment wardrobe and makeup wise, so here I have assembled a few makeup must haves, this is the time to colorize and use fresh and joyful colors to blend in with the summer sun and those beautiful summer nights, write these down and make sure to pack them for your upcoming holidays, enjoy!

  • Pop of color
There is something about spring and summer that makes beauty bloggers go crazy about colorful eyeliners, whether is on the lid or on the lower lash line, so don't be afraid to add some excitement to your look by using an emerald green or minty or maybe even a nice lilac or deep purple on your eyes to make them stand out, for you blue eyed girls bring out the ocean blue with a pop of bronze or gold toned liner, for girls with green eyes try a forest or emerald green, and for a nice definition of brown eyes try out a plumy purple, it will make them the center of attention and turn your makeup into a unique and fun masterpiece!

  •  Standout lips
Lips can be a major look changer if you pick the right one for your skin tone,  bolder lips are not just a winter
or autumn trend, this particular trend extended to the warmer months as well, with a simple eye look bold and
bright fuchsia, rosy pink or even orange and coral tones can look amazing, especially with a summer tan.
Go for bright and vibrant lips and use a tad a liquid highlighter on your cupid's bow to make your lips appear
fuller than line them with a similar or matching lip liner and add a beautiful bright color of your choice, combine
this with a warm toned neutral eyeshadow on the crease for definition and a brown or black kohl smudged
eyeliner on the lids as well as a subtle blush, preferably in the same shade family with the blush and your
summer look is complete!

  • Bronze & Golden eyes
Bronze and golden tones look great on every eye color, and they compliment a summer tan, the best thing
about bronze and golden shaded eye shadows or even better for summer cream eye shadows is that they look
amazing on with bold and nude lips, which makes them easy to use and a dream to combine. Try them on
and combine them with a lip color of your choice and for a definite overall trendy and summary look pair
your warm golden makeup look with a white or nude outfit piece with turquoise accents,  a swell summar
overall look!

  • A rosy peach inspired flush
There is something about a rosy and peachy colored blushes that add a subtle flush to the cheeks and makes
them look healthier and fresh, so this is the perfect time to put your pink and peachy blushes to good use,
from dusty roses, hot pinks to peachy sunset orange undertones to makes those cheeks pop and complete
the overall look and make you look healthy and well taken care of, apply them on the apples of your cheeks
and try to use cream based or liquid blushes with which many companies are coming out this season to prevent
a makeup meltdown as well as give you a healthy glow and a light weight layer above your foundation or tinted
balm to avoid over masking your face with makeup, which is a nightmare during high temperatures.

How to wear daisy print

Sunday, April 27, 2014

Florals have been in the last years, but a particular emphasis has been given to the daisy print. It is fun and gives any outfit a boho flair and a it serves perfectly as a focus point to combine your outfit around.
Nothing says spring and summer as daisy does, so get on the trend bandwagon and don't be afraid to incorporate it into your upcoming spring inspired outfits.

  • Daisy Cropped Top
Here you get an on trend bomb, cropped tops are everywhere these days, they have become an absolute must have piece, so slap some daisies on it and it is a no brainer really, you can never go wrong with any patterned top combined with classic blue or any jeans for that matter, then add some casual shoes or espadrilles like I did, all that paired with a cute cross body and some cute arm candy and you are good to go!

  • Daisy Romper
Rompers are such a convenient piece of clothing for the warmer months because it is so light and easy
style, and guess what they usually come with different prints on them along with the daisy print, now printed
rompers should always be in the center of attention to your overall  outfit, that means that every other piece of
item on you should be minimalistic and simple, that is why I have paired it with some white converse shoes
a cute girly cross body by Kate Spade and I have kept the accessories to a minimum, because you
don't want to take away the spotlight of your interesting and fun romper or playsuit!

  •  Daisy Dress
Flowers on dresses are classic ladylike feature and never goes out of style, this dress to me brings out a fun
trendy vibe, and can be worn in so many ways, today I chose to pair it with some heeled oxfords and a
grey, studded Wang Rocky as well as some simplistic accessories also the one and only, personal favorite
Daniel Wellington watch, to add the icing on the cake I added some smart round framed Ray Bans for that smart
but fashionable look!

  • Daisy Printed Jean Shorts
This outfit was one of my favorites to style, because it is so summery and fresh, I am in love with these shorts,
they add just the right amount of excitement to the classically styled blue jean shorts, because of the print on them
I paired them with a loose white shirt, and some pastel blue Toms. The light colored bag is simple and goes swell
with the rest of the outfit, then paired it with some colorful and summer like bracalets as well as a delicate slim band
watch in a neutral beige shade, the silver heart shaped earrings give just enough flair to the overall fresh and cute
look!
